DAY 13, Aug 28: THAT’S A WRAP
“Can miles truly separate you from friends? If you want to be with someone you love, aren’t you already there?” – Richard Bach
Good bye, thanks for the awesome memories!
Unfortunately, this is the last Ashmere Project camp blog post of 2022 :(
This morning’s schedule is…eat breakfast, go to the bathroom and pack/stuff last minute things wherever you have room, in suitcase or backpack. Your friends push/bring you up the notorious gravel hill to find your family or friends to bring your home … one last hug and good bye.
On a personal note I got up the hill by the grace and will of my Stella, who might be small but she is one strong lady! Also, I found out by my dad that the front passenger’s window was broken and stuck down inside of the door. Yes, we made the trip home with a broken front passenger side window and prayed that it wouldn’t rain, especially for my mom because she was the front passenger.
On a more serious note, I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that made the amazing two weeks possible. I am grateful and appreciate all of your ambition and hard work to make fabulous memories for all of us and can’t wait for our next adventure whatever it is because we’re going to be together.
Signing off til next year,
Nancy
